About Sahabuddin Bijoy

Sahabuddin Bijoy was born on 24 May 1998 in the Goydda village of Bhedargonj Thana in the Shariatpur district of Padma Riverbank in southern Bangladesh. His full name is Sahabuddin Khan Bijoy. He is the second of three children of Md. Babul Khan and Rubia Begum.

Bijoy completed his primary education from 16 No. Goydda Board Model Government Primary School. After completing secondary education at Bhedargonj Headquarters Pilot High School, he got admitted into Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rauf Public College, Dhaka, in 2014. He then graduated from the Urdu Department of Dhaka University. Now he is studying for his master’s from the Urdu department.

Bijoy is acting as the president of Provatferi, a TSC based cultural organization. He is also the President of Dhaka University-based online portal DU TIMZ. He also served as the President of DU Roufian, a student organization of Students from Birshrestha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College, who is studying at Dhaka University in 2020.

In 2014, Bijoy wrote an article in the Prothom Alo magazine ‘Chutir Dine.’ From there, his writing practice started. Since then, he has been trying to express his perspective, sense of life, or discussion based on contemporary issues through writings.

The use of social media in the right way, the dream of new writers to publish their writings in print, and for the literary readers, he established Durba Ghas (a blog based on literature) with the help of a few young. Shahabuddin Bijoy is working to develop literary culture keeping in mind the culture and literature of Bangladesh.
